Coming back to LTD, I would rate it as the best film from the 1981-2015 period. May be the ranking would go like this:
+ 3. LTD - A solid film such as FYEO. The score take it to a new level
+2. SP - Background score is not a strong point. But is visually striking and fun to watch film with some good performance .... It can be ranked below FYEO based on how its weaknesses impact you
+1. L2K - Darker than FYEO with some weaknesses. But overall its strengths (Dalton's performance, Sanchez, Q as field operative, Seaplane sequence, Truck chase, etc.) help it to just lift it above FYEO .... i.e. some flavors added to the vanilla ice cream .... It could be also be placed below FYEO depending up on how you look at its weaknesses or added flavors
= 0. FYEO - The benchmark. No major weaknesses. Well balanced (Not too dark, not too OTT, not too funny, etc.) with necessary Bond elements .... Moore also gives a well measured performance .... May be the film is like the vanilla ice cream
